NOMINACIONES HOUSTON FILM CRITICS SOCIETY 2011

Jornada dominical muy intensa en la recien iniciada campaña de premios la que nos depara el día de hoy. Hasta seis eventos publicaran sus ganadores o nominados, destacando los premios que concede la asociación de críticos de Los Ángeles y el top ten del American Film Institute. Comenzamos con las nominaciones de la sociedad de críticos de Houston. Asociación bastante joven (fundada en 2007) que reune a toda la prensa del area de Houston, Texas.

Para la quinta edición de sus premios, tras las nominaciones, parten como favoritas The Descendants, The Artist y War Horse. Ya aparece Extremely Load Incredibily Close cuyas primera proyecciones han obtenido notables opiniones. Drive se consolida en esta primera parte de la campaña como un título que puede buscar su hueco en la categoría principal de los Óscars.

En las categorías interpretativas, destacar la nominación de Armie Hammer (J. Edgar) y Elizabeth Olsen (estupenda en Martha Marcy May Marlene). Pedro Almodóvar vuelve a tener presencia en el apartado de cinta foránea. Sus opciones se perdieron en casa tras el fallo de la academia española. Atención a las nominadas a peor película del año.
